motorola behind router

I truly apologize to begin in english but i'm not still fluent in slovenian.

I'l like to put my motorola tv box behind a dd-wrt router but i always end up with tv.private.t2 could not be found on the tv screen.
IGMP multicast is not filtered, I can see the tv via VLC also.
I think this is because something is on the 10.xxx.xxx.xxx network of t-2.

Does anyone manage to have this setup working ?
hvala lepa

You should allow multicast traffic inside your router if you want to watch IPTV and browsing internet on your computer at the same time.

STBs (Motorola, Amino etc.) must be connected directly to your VDSL modem or optical switch and not behind router. Sorry, it won't work other way.

Ok maybe I have a way .

putting a cable between the milan switch and a switch port on a dd-wrt enable device. Not the internet port, a switch port.
Disable the dd-wrt dhcp server
Enable a WDS wireless connection between the first dd-wrt device and a second one which should enable a transparent bridge connection between ddwrt1 switch port and ddwrt2 switch port.

Does anybody already tried this ?
Cheers

Motorola (or another STB) must be connected directly to an optical switch or modem.
T-2 DHCP server assigned IP device and sends it the appropriate settings.
Otherwise you need "layer 0" equipment - something like that is http://www.ruckuswireless.com/products/ ... aflex-2200
With dd-wrt or tomatto software will not get desired result. Tested.
