Pomoč z routerjem (linksys DD-WRT) in t-2
Pomoč z routerjem (linksys DD-WRT) in t-2
Bom po angleško ker mi je lažje ampak lahko odgovarjate v slovenščini če želite.
I've been trying for quite some time to get my router to work with t-2 and i need some help. I have used this router on several different networks without problems but I can't get it to work with t-2.
I have a VDSL account with static ip. If I plug my computer directly into the modem (SVL 100D-LR) I get a DHCP assigned ip address and the internet works without problems. I can also manually enter my static ip, gateway and DNS into my computer and it works.
When I plug the modem into my router I can't get anything. Not by using automatic DHCP comfiguration or by entering my static ip information.
Also, if I reset my router to the factory defaults, attach my modem and I plug in my computer into the router, my computer gets a DHCP assigned IP address from t-2 (rather than the standard 192.168.1.XXX designated in the router DHCP settings) and the internet works on that computer but not on the rest of the network.
Do you guys have any idea what is going on here? Let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks!
~Johnny

Reset your router to the factory settings. Change DHCP (Automatic) settings to static (ISP assigned) by entering the T-2-supplied IP and network mask. Make sure you also specify DNS servers (recommended: dns1.t-2.net and dns2.t-2.net). Specify to the router, to do DHCP for client connections (your computers).
The computers, which will access the internet through the router, should be set to DHCP (Automatic), which will give them IPs in the 192.168.xxx range.
If that doesn't help, I suggest that you send me a Private message here with your address data (name, address, city) which is on the T-2 contract. I will make sure that someone calls you on Monday and helps you fix the problem!

Try to connect to your router's HTTP user interface and look for connection settings. It should be set to DHCP rather than disabled. Your router is probably currently set to pass-through all connections, so it is working as a switch, rather than as a router.
If you reset the router to it's factory settings, it should be set to automatically get an IP from the modem (so DHCP from the outside) and to automatically set client IP's (DHCP on the inside).

Check the cables - SVL 100D-LR should be connected to the WAN / INTERNET port of your Linksys.jcstoke napisal/-a:Also, if I reset my router to the factory defaults, attach my modem and I plug in my computer into the router, my computer gets a DHCP assigned IP address from t-2 (rather than the standard 192.168.1.XXX designated in the router DHCP settings) and the internet works on that computer but not on the rest of the network.

Here are two of the many configurations I've tried so far.

Both ways give me the following settings when I connect wirelessly:
Physical Address: 00-0E-35-EB-72-49
IP Address: 89.212.125.63
Subnet Mask: 255.255.0.0
Default Gateway: 89.212.0.1
DHCP Server: 89.212.0.1
Lease Obtained: 12/8/2008 12:50:26 PM
Lease Expires: 12/8/2008 2:50:26 PM
DNS Servers: 84.255.209.79, 84.255.209.77
WINS Server:
If I plug directly into my computer I get this:
Physical Address: 00-11-43-6C-54-EA
IP Address: 93.103.162.231
Subnet Mask: 255.255.0.0

Subnet Mask: 255.255.0.0
Default Gateway: 93.103.0.1
DNS Servers: 84.255.209.77, 84.255.210.77

Try again the setup from the second picture and write 192.168.1.1 to both Gateway and Local DNS under Network setup.

Re: Pomoč z routerjem (linksys DD-WRT) in t-2
You can use both settings (static IP or DHCP). Static IP is configured on our side therefore you should use the static ip setting. DHCP works only because of some problems customers have or the need for one more ip address. I can see your connection is up and running.
Re: Pomoč z routerjem (linksys DD-WRT) in t-2
I get the same results with that. Any other ideas?buneech napisal/-a:Try again the setup from the second picture and write 192.168.1.1 to both Gateway and Local DNS under Network setup.
What I can't figure out is why would a DHCP assigned IP address get passed on to my computer instead of 192.168.1.XXX?
That's how I'm writing this post right now (and probably why the system shows that my connection is up and running). Now I have it set up using the static settings (first picture) except I added 192.168.1.1 to both Gateway and Local DNS under Network setup. I plugged my computer into the router and I get:

Re: Pomoč z routerjem (linksys DD-WRT) in t-2
You do have the UTP cable, which goes between the modem and the router, plugged into WAN/Internet port on the router?

Re: Pomoč z routerjem (linksys DD-WRT) in t-2
Yes, the cable is plugged into the internet port on the router, and when I plug it in, the internet light on the front of the router turns on as well as the data and LAN lights on the modem.

Hvala za pomoč! Končno dela.
The problem is with my router. I tried a different one and everything works as it should. Thanks so much for the help.
